Volpaia is a beautiful rural hamlet that is fortified by the High Chianti… wonderful canteen, church and buildings. Splendid also are the supports that are positioned 450 to 600 meters on the sandy land. It is a very particular Sangiovese clone that comes from an antique Autochthonous strain that rules the roost here.

A splendid company located in the Chianti Classico, a qualitative standard of excellence. Rampolla wines aiming at the fusion of the terroir with the peculiarity of the vine. It is a company devoted to Biodynamics that has retouched the various steps in the cellar, a vinification that takes place partly in cement and partly in terracotta amphorae.

This year presents a monumental version of the Brunello Cerretalyo, in the company of an elegant Brunello, fruit of the vineyards further south of the estate.

We satisfy our senses with a sumptuous version of the Brunello Riserva, a great example of balance, aromatic integrity and structural complexity. Caprili once again offers a beautiful reading of a great vintage. For the immediate future, the expansion of the winery is also in sight.

Since 2001 the Ripaccioli brothers have introduced new ideas and new technology whilst at the same time always respecting traditional ways and methods that were laid down by the grandfather Primo. The wines are a splendid synthesis of two areas with a very high collocation to the northern Montalcino territory.
