Rapitalà is the result of ties between Luigia Guarassi and Count Hughes Bernard de La Gatinais when in 1968 they decided to put the Rapitalà holding back in shape as it had been damaged by an earthquake that struck the Belice Valley. Laurent, the oldest son, has now taken over the company.

An expansion phase and growth in quality that has not stopped with a big accent on freshness and mineral content of Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio.
Arianna Occhipinti started wine making at just twenty two years of age making the first Frappato, a wine that is instantly likable, made out of a strong sense of Eco-sustainability. Arianna looks after 12 Hectares with a very small staff in her canteen in Vittoria.

Pietro from the Spadafore Princes suffered substantial damages to his agricultural system in ’68 but put the Virzi holdings back on its feet, the entire 180 Hectares in the Monreale town. He planted new native vines along with other new varieties that had been imported internationally.
Amongst the biggest wine growing companies in Etna, more than 65 Hectares of plants and vines all together. At the end of the nineties the installation was renewed and planted in terrain rich in lava sand were international vines.
